Quality Control and Inspection
Quality Control and Inspection
Phone case quality control starts before mass production. CHAMPIONS uses the approved sample and written project requirements to check material, fit, appearance, branding, assembly, packaging and shipment readiness. Buyers should define any market-specific test, tolerance or inspection method before production begins.
1. Specification and approved sample
The control plan is built from the confirmed phone models, case structure, material, color, logo file, surface finish, packaging artwork and quantity. The physical approval sample is the visual and functional reference for production. Revisions should be recorded so the factory and buyer use the same version.
2. Incoming material checks
Materials and purchased components are checked against the project requirement before they enter production. The review may include material type, color, visible condition, magnetic components, packaging materials and labels. Any buyer-specified document or external test requirement must be identified in advance.
3. First-article and fit confirmation
At the start of production, the first output is compared with the approved sample. Important points include phone fit, camera and screen protection, button operation, charging access, wall condition, magnet position, stand function and alignment of printed or assembled parts. Issues are corrected before the run continues.
4. In-process inspection
Checks during molding, printing, finishing and assembly help catch defects before packing. Inspectors look for deformation, flash, scratches, color variation, contamination, weak bonding, printing position, assembly alignment and functional problems relevant to the approved design.
5. Packaging and SKU verification
Phone case programs can contain many similar models, so packaging control is essential. The team verifies the product against its model label, barcode, insert, bag or box, quantity per carton and carton mark. Mixed-model programs require a clear SKU packing list from the buyer.
6. Pre-shipment inspection
Before release, finished goods are checked against the approved product and packing requirements. The inspection scope can include appearance, function, quantity, packaging and shipment marks. If the buyer uses an independent inspection company, the requested sampling method and booking window should be agreed before the shipping date.
Handling non-conformities
When a result does not meet the agreed requirement, the affected goods are identified and reviewed before shipment. The response depends on the issue and may include sorting, rework, replacement or a revised production step. Clear photos, quantities and specification references help both sides close the issue efficiently.
Quality control FAQ
Can I provide my own inspection standard?
Yes. Send the checklist, sampling method, tolerance, test method and acceptance criteria before quotation or sample approval so the production plan can reflect them.
Can a third-party inspector check the order?
Yes. A third-party inspection can be coordinated before shipment. Share the agency, inspection scope and booking requirements in advance.
What is the main reference for bulk quality?
The approved physical sample and the written product, branding and packaging specification are the primary references for production and final inspection.
